The software that comes with the DM2 is actually fairly amusing, though, so why not give it a whirl? Can you assign master tempo to one of the scratch rings on the mixman DM2?
This will go a long way to solving that look on the face of the person who bought me one of those last Christmas only to see it collect dust. It's basicly built like a toy.

It's a very basic and very cheap midi controller. It didn't come with any of the dodgy mixman software Music App Blog Music app reviews, news and tutorials for the mobile music producer.
Filtered words will be replaced with the filtered version of the word. I don't know whether this was really neccesary, but it worked.

July 22, 9: Can a beginner like me utilise the Dm2 easily enough??? PPJoy is a parallel port joystick driver, but it also lets you create virtual joysticks. DM2 made a brilliant debut and, while it has enough features to keep the dontroller experienced drum programmers happy, it is also very accessible to those new to drum machine programming or drum synthesis.
It's just simple rubber coated contact switches in an attractive casing - But it's still lightwight and can make an interesting ddm2 piece at your next gig.
Support for Audiobus 3 has also been added. Anyways, It's just a toy.

Lines and paragraphs break automatically. Use Bome's MIDI Translator to translate the CC messages recieved from the DM2 to mouse events and you could be scratching, using Live only with this tip from ableton - I haven't tested this option out, so I don't promise any result, but it sure looks promising, so if you get anything out of this, I'd appreciate your detailed experience.

No, scratching is still something you really need a turntable for. Yes, I've been waiting for this to happen for a while. A bit of configuration is necessary, but it is not too arduous. Is it going to be as easy as I hope? Please don't make more of them.
Audionomy have certainly got an awful lot right with DM2 and the updates have simply improved upon a brilliant start… hats off to Pascal and his development team…. Just bought me a DM2.
